SSON and BlackLine conducted a survey of global finance and accounting leaders to gain a better understanding of robotics automation and the dramatic impact it can have on technology, process, and people. The survey results provide an understanding of the strategies and approaches to automation adoption in the financial close process. In this session our panel will share insights and examples of how organisations are tackling some of the biggest barriers and capitalizing on opportunities to apply technology to enhance the accounting close cycle.

Join the webinar to:

  • Gain an understanding of the impact of robotics and automation on finance and accounting and how it changes future talent skill requirements
  • Learn about the current adoption rate of robotics or automation in the financial close process
  • Hear the biggest challenges SSO's identified and the factors that drove them to consider robotics and automation

Presenter:

Zach Deming
Director of Product Marketing
BlackLine

Zach Deming, BlackLine’s Director of Product Marketing, partners with accounting and finance leaders to help them realize how their spreadsheet-driven processes hiding in the shadows simply can’t cope with the demands of always-on modern business, and the expectation of real-time analysis. After a decade in the industry, he thinks the automation benefits of cloud software can free accountants from the chains of transactions, liberating them to focus on strategy and analysis. Zach is skeptical of the robot uprising, and as a champion of Continuous Accounting, he believes the future of accounting does not lie in new technology alone, but also with the nuanced intelligence of skilled accountants.
