Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) may seem routine however for healthcare organisations they are mission critical.  SOP’s serve as the foundation for process improvement and enable employees to be more effective in their roles.  For BCCSS to deliver on its value proposition of province-wide service including better value, reduced risk and cost, and increased predictability the team understood improving their processes was essential.  One of the service lines, Employee Records and Benefits, had 120 SOPs finalized but no formal sustainment program.  Realizing they needed a new approach for managing, storing, and maintaining SOPs to drive process improvement the team created a new prescription for success.

Join this webinar with Camille Reid, Vice President, Financial and Employee Services at BCCSS to learn how they:

  • Improved SOP usability, process clarity and shared knowledge
  • Introduced an effective process governance structure
  • Increased staff participation and collaboration in process improvement
  • Established SOP version control and change management
  • Enhanced their employees’ training experience

BC Clinical and Support Services (BCCSS) provides clinical, diagnostic and support services to health authorities spanning the Province of British Columbia, Canada.  Providing Financial and Employee Services, Supply Chain, and Technology Services, BCCSS:

  • Manages more than 65k work stations at 71 different sites
